In Oregon we have some acknowledgement that this is an evil activity, and the many Climate Action Plans of Cities and Counties in Oregon make the evils of growing fossil/carbon fuel business explicit. We don't quite have such a declaration at the state level that I know about, but we should have.

So, there have been projects proposed, and a few carried out to add new uses of carbon fuel in the state, and there are more under discussion, essentially constantly.

• Jordan Cove LNG Export Project near Coos Bay, OR
